With history and lovingly renovated – your stay at Mauthäusl
S’Mauthäusl Luftenstein looks back on a long and rich history: over 200 years ago it served as a resting place for travelers, later as a small inn, and during the Napoleonic wars it was even a contested site.
My father, Alexander Pfannhauser, acquired this historic building and expanded it with great care. Together, we renovated it with attention to detail and natural materials.
Today, our spacious holiday apartments combine historic charm with modern comfort – a special place to arrive, unwind, and feel at home.

Our apartments for 2 to 8 guests are thoughtfully designed and offer a cozy alpine atmosphere. For guests with limited mobility, our barrier-free apartment “Schihörndl” is available – ground-level and comfortable.
